Hi, I’m Melis J. Lugo, a graphic designer and artist behind Mjay Creates.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved art and creating. Drawing, crafting, and turning ideas into something visual came naturally to me, and creativity quickly became my way of expressing myself. What started as a hobby slowly grew into something more meaningful as I realized how powerful design can be in telling stories and bringing ideas to life.

As I got older, my passion for art led me to explore digital design. I discovered graphic design as a way to combine creativity with purpose by designing visuals that not only look good but also communicate a message. That is when I decided to apply to a graphic design program and fully commit to turning my passion into a career.

During college, I developed a strong foundation in branding, typography, layout, and digital design. Through hands-on projects and real world applications, I learned how to transform concepts into polished designs for both print and digital use. That experience helped shape my design style and gave me the confidence to start creating for others.

After graduating, I founded Mjay Creates as a space to share my creativity and offer intentional design services and custom products. Today, I work with individuals, small businesses, and events to create designs that feel personal, thoughtful, and functional, whether that is a logo, website, invitation, or custom apparel.

Design is not just what I do. It is something I have grown with, and I am excited to continue evolving and creating meaningful work.
